Supporting student education

The UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Foundation, Inc. provides scholarship opportunities through the generosity of area businesses and individuals, community organizations, alumni and campus faculty and staff interested in the educational progress of UWECBC students. Each year the UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Foundation, Inc. provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to students.

Some scholarships also require verification of financial need. Therefore, all scholarship applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). No repayment of scholarships is required.

Contact the UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Solution Center at uwecbcinfo@uwec.edu or 715-788-6244 for more scholarship information.

Application Deadline: April 1

How to apply for scholarships

All current students and freshmen and transfer students who have been admitted are eligible to apply for scholarships. If deadlines for scholarships are quickly approaching, you may begin your application prior to admission. Please note UW-Eau Claire – Barron County and UW-Eau Claire share scholarship software.

Step 1:

If you have not done so already, you will need to activate your account. To activate your account, you will need the following information:

  • your username and campus ID (which were sent in an email when you applied or are on your admit letter)
  • birth date
  • last four digits of your social security number, or your UWEC PIN that you were sent in a separate email (if you did not provide us with your social security number)

Step 2:

After activating your account, apply online for scholarships at our Gold for Blugolds site. Sign in using your UW-Eau Claire – Barron County username and password. Once you’re logged in, select the UW-Eau Claire – Barron County Scholarship Application, as this single application will ensure you are automatically considered for the majority of incoming student scholarships.
