What is full-time status?

At UW-Eau Claire – Barron County, a student is considered a full-time student if their credit load in fall or spring is between 12 and 18 credits. For all credits over 18, the per credit rate applies. A student is considered to be a full-time student in the summer term if their credit load is between 6 and 9 credits. For all credits over 9, the per credit rate applies. For more details, please visit the course schedule for your campus.

Payment Options

Freshmen

In addition to the above standard tuition and fees, freshmen are required to pay the new student ($150) and placement test ($40) fees. New student and placement test fees are non-refundable.

All freshmen will be charged a $15 ID card fee. This non-refundable fee is not covered by financial aid and must be paid separately. The $15 fee includes $10 preloaded on your card for your use.

Transfer students

Transfer fees for new students are $150.00. The new student transfer fee is non-refundable.

International students

All international students will be assessed an international student fee of $200 per semester.

Tuition notes

Tuition is set by the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents. Segregated fees are recommended by each local student body, reviewed by the Chancellor and approved by the Board of Regents.
